My name is Alice (Yingrong) Shao and I am a Chinese-American illustrator based in Boston.

I graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I live to create work with heavy emotional weight by zooming in on people’s relationships with their pasts, with themselves, and with others. With my multimedia storytelling, I aim to enlarge warmness, give empathy, embrace growth, and find healing.

I currently work in higher education to fund my artistic pursuits. When I’m not working, you can catch me holding my cats, crocheting amigurumi animals, and laughing with my goofy husband.
